Clinic website setup
Verify your clinic website with Google
Confirm ownership of your own public website, then check its sitemap and search visibility.
Use a website you own, not your private CRM account or an editor preview.
Open Google Search Console0 of 6 checklist items marked · progress is for this visit only, not a live Google ownership check.
Sign in with the Google account that should own your clinic’s website. Choose Add property.
URL prefix covers the exact https website and every page beneath it, including reports and sitemaps. A Domain property covers all subdomains and protocols, but requires access to your domain’s DNS records.
For URL prefix, choose HTML tag and copy the exact Google verification tag into your own website’s homepage head using your website editor. For Domain, add Google’s exact TXT record at your domain provider. Keep existing verification records.
Publish your website changes. For an HTML tag, check the published homepage’s page source contains the exact tag. For DNS, allow the record to appear. Return to Google and click Verify. Mark this step only after Google confirms ownership; this guide does not verify it automatically.
Use the sitemap your own website actually serves, usually /sitemap.xml or the address listed in robots.txt. Submit it under Sitemaps and check Google’s status. Do not submit NexCrm Clinic’s sitemap for your separate clinic website.
Use URL Inspection on your public homepage or treatment page. If eligible, request indexing in Google. Verification does not guarantee indexing or ranking. Keep the verification tag or DNS record after ownership is confirmed.
If verification fails
Check https and www match your selected URL prefix, use the token from the same Google account, and ensure the published homepage is accessible without signing in. DNS records can take time to appear. Only grant ownership to trusted people.
